Saturday

Spinning with Janine (and her daughter :-)) and Barb. then the pool. Saw a few others in Body Pump --good job guys. Just made my first Torte Pasqualina ---lots of work! Maybe a need a break from cooking-----oh I know, maybe I'll do Plyo......maybe.

Happy Easter and Happy Passover to all. Is Warrenopen on Monday?

Friday, Saturday, Sunday

I did arms and shoulders but started at 12:09 am. I decided not to do the bonus round. Saturday I will probably do plyo at home. What's going on for Sunday? I bought a yoga mat today.

Back and legs today @ RW. Used the assisted pull-up machine.........MUCH better :). Had a hard time with my balance, and motivation----probably didn't push as hard as I could have. Mental mush. "Mama told me there'd be days like this" But, I'm ready for tomorrow. It will be a new day with a new outlook...bring it on :-)

Hope you all enjoyed your days, your workouts, your friends, and your families.

Tonight

Hey ... legs and back are tonight so I may just go downstairs and use the machines and chin-up bar rather than cardio kickboxing.

See Ya Tonight @ Cardio Kickboxing!

I missed out on cardio kickboxing on Tuesday but I did get to do Kenpo. I know that Wed was suppose to be our day of rest but I did a mini ab workout and a few push ups Wed night. So I plan on doing cardio kickboxing tonight (Thurs), but may still follow up with the plyometrics afterwards. I guess fitness is ruling me?! I hope the weather is nice this weekend. I would like to get out on the bike ... and if ain't the pedalling kind, it will be the 1200cc kind.
Yesterday - Miquel's Kickboxing kicked my butt!!!!! I couldn't get up in the am for Ladan's Core Balance or Spin, though I did yoga in the am and swam with Barb in the pm -----I have to learn how to breathe correctly for swimming or I'll never make it 1/2 mile!!!!!!

Monday, end of March

Spring is here, Saturday boot camp is huge. Hard core has double the number of people I was expecting to show. I hope everyone is well. I got to spin this morning with Ladan and Barbara- even that class is getting steady attendance. Stretching and core seems to be out of my reach right now. Can't get up early enough cause I get to bed so late.

Hugs to all!

New additions to the group

Our group of fitness enthusiasts is growing.  Hopefully, we can get everyone onto the blog so they can share their thoughts, their aches and pains or anything else they want to the rest of us.

Feeling Beat Up;

Many of you hear me complain of weight gain! Change of diet and basically life has left me with some gradual +++ lbs. LC; p90X, BB, YJ, CM, WC, LB, intervened. As a result, I decided to give SUGAR the insulin elevating hormone a break for a while. The change (reduced sugar intake) for one week has already left me feeling much better and abrogated my cravings! I am still consuming 1200-1400 calories per day; with an ~ 300 calories every 3 hours! Looking forward to the months ahead! I am sure they will be challenging but rewarding!

Boot camp this morning was tough! Squad thrusts; Jumps over the stack of steps! We all got to jump high! its impressive to watch the change since we have started! The Urbanathlon is still months away; nonetheless we are well on our way towards the training!

January resolutions

I went to the gym today to lift weights. I have been so busy with spinning, core, and "boot camp" I have been neglecting muscle management. Considering that I have been chiding my mom about keeping muscle mass as she hits 79, I have to keep up the work for myself.

The main gym was packed. Every cardio machine, all the weight machines and benches were busy. I turned around and went to a satellite gym. Much less hassle, even though I ended up doing upper in reverse, cause I couldn't warm up on a free cardio machine. the weights were fine. When I couldn't get a bench, I used a balance ball. That way a little core ab work got worked in. I am steady with 5's for shoulders, 10's for curls, and a 30# bar for scull crushers- my favorite tri's. Can't wait to see some extra weight in a few sessions.

I read a note in the Sunday paper that people have to commit to weight change for it to work. That seems trite to me, though 8 years ago, I pretty much did just that, as a help to my daughter's resolution to deal with teen aged "what ever". Both of us have never really looked back. She walks all over her very walkable city and manages her intake. I love to hike, lift, and now do core and spin with a great group of people. I hope who ever reads this has their own form of committing to good health. May your new year be full of energy and new adventures.
